Situated in Monmouthshire, Wales, close the border with Gloucestershire, Chepstow is a town with two famous attractions. One of these is the castle, the oldest of its kind in the UK, and the other is Chepstow Racecourse, dating from 1926 and home of the Welsh Grand National and other popular National hunt and flat races held at Chepstow races throughout the calendar.

Free Racing Tips The track at Chepstow is an oval left-hander over 2 miles. It is an undulating track with a 5 furlong run in and a mile straight which hosts all races under that distance. The course is renowned as a real challenge.

The five final jumps are close together and demand accuracy and precision, particularly on the final open ditch, while the undulating track and soft ground favour horses with real stamina.
